La Maison du Bassin’s restaurant has become one of Cap Ferret’s must-visit addresses. The cuisine is generous, convivial and deeply rooted in the region.

Designed for sharing, plates naturally find their way to the centre of the table: sea urchin tarama, tuna rillettes, cod fritters or generous slices of foie gras.

The menu celebrates seasonal produce and the pleasure of sharing: sea bream tartare, grilledoctopus, roasted cod fillet, the catch of the day, as well as a Black Angus burger or spinach, mushroom and ricotta ravioli.

Meat lovers can gather around a dry-aged rib of beef. In the evenings, guests come togetherover dinner, while at weekends, lunches linger leisurely in the shade of the terrace.

And then there is the now-iconic dessert buffet, where guests are invited to help themselves again and again, just as they would in a holiday home, generous, indulgent and wonderfully relaxed.
